After a few seasons of bouncing around on different teams, I decided I wanted some consistency. I was tired of depending on other people to provide me with equipment capable of winning races. During the summer of 2015, I decided to put my resources together and Cory Texter Racing was formed.
We currently have two C&J-Framed Kawasaki 750cc motorcycles and a Big A Linkage-Framed Kawasaki 700cc motorcycle to compete in the American Flat Track series. In addition to competing in the entire AFT schedule, I travel to and race in a variety of different series across the globe. For these events, I typically compete on a 2010 Honda CRF 450 DTX bike and a C&J Honda 450 Framer in the singles class, as well as my twins mentioned above in the twins class.
The majority of my motorcycles are built by Gordy Schopieray with components and support from Alan Rodenborn at Racing Unlimited. My mechanic Justin Bender spins the wrenches during the week and at the track on race day.
In 2017, I purchased a 36′ diesel hauler with an attached enclosed garage to travel to the races in. This gives my premier sponsors additional exposure and allows me to bring more equipment to the track to be competitive against the factory teams.
Running your own team is a lot of stress and hard work, but I couldn’t more happier with the progress made since I started this journey. If you are interested in becoming a marketing partner with Cory Texter Racing, please use the contact page to get a hold of me to discuss some options. All 18 of our races in 2017 and 2018 were shown on NBC Sports, as well as the X Games that have been shown live on ESPN (2015-2017) and ABC (2018). The American Flat Track series will broadcast again on NBC Sports in 2019, as well as the X Games on ABC.
