Cory Texter, To Race The G&G Racing Yamaha Motor USA MT-07’s In AFT’s Production Class For 2019

Yucaipa, CA – October 29, 2018 – G&G Racing has half our team for 2019 set. Cory Texter will be riding 2 of the G&G Racing Yamaha’s for next season in American Flat Track’s new Production Twins Class which will run select races throughout the year. Cory, who has been racing in the twins class for about 10 years, has been on just about every twin there is. Cory wants to win races and to make a run for the Production Twins Class Championship. We are still planning on running in AFT’s Twin Class with another rider on our other 2 Yamaha’s.

Cory Texter – #65 Yamaha MT-07

“I am really excited about the opportunity to ride for G&G Racing in 2019. I didn’t have the most ideal 2018 season, but even when I had bad races, I kept digging because I believe in my ability to run up front and contend for wins at this level. I think the G&G Yamaha MT-07 really fits my riding style. They are fast and have a great components package. The crew at G&G Racing isn’t scared of putting in the work to get me to the front, so I just have to work hard and do my job. I am looking forward to testing them this winter and getting ready for the start of the season.
“It’s going to be an exciting season. For the first time in my career, I am going to be riding for an established team. I have always carried so much weight on my shoulders with my own equipment and all the logistics of running a team, so I am really thankful for the opportunity to focus foremost on being a racer next year and seeing if that unlocks any untapped potential.
“We aren’t sure what the entire plan is quite yet, but I know I am going to be doing the entire Production Twins series and that is my main focus. I may ride some select races in the AFT Twins class when they don’t have a Production class available, but there is also a chance I regroup and give it another go in the AFT Singles class at select events.”

L J Gronek – Team Manager

“We are really looking forward to working with Cory, next season, and helping him as he achieves his goals. He has been in the sport for a really long time and is very talented and dedicated. He is a hard worker and has been doing it on his own in the past. We are thrilled to be giving him the chance to just focus on his riding and training. It will be exciting to see what he can do on our Yamaha’s. I know he and our bikes are capable of winning races and I believe we will be there contending for the Production Class Championship.”

X Games // 2018

Here are some photos from my fourth consecutive X Games at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I was asked to ride the Factory Harley-Davidson / Vance & Hines XG 750. We didn’t qualify for the six-rider main event, but I felt really competitive on the bike my first time racing it. Thanks for the […]
